Ford’s first V8 Supercar win of 2014 came at the hands of Mark Winterbottom.  Frosty, in the Pepsi Max Ford, led HRT’s James Courtney and supercheap’s Tim Slade to the winners podium.

The win came after a succession of five pit lane speeding penalties which changed the race results again and again.

Veteran Racing Legend, Russel Ingall, also known as “The Enforcer” launched a scathing attack at race officials after they penalised him for punting David Wall off the track in an overtaking manouver, which robbed Ingall of a podium finish.

Ingall insists that his passing move was legal, but “instead of looking at it afterwards where they could have seen that, they made a call straight away.  They would have seen that the imbecile (Wall) tried to block.  But they decided there and then, and it was game over for me.”  Ingall has been fined $10,000 for his outburst.
